Broadcast Video Download

The First Tee Open presents broadcast quality video for ftp download direct to your non-linear editing system. To view and download videos from each day, click one of the days in the categories section located directly above the preview video. Files are H264, .mov and can be imported into Avid, Final Cut or other NLE systems. Simply preview the video you want, note the correct aspect ratio for your application, and click “download.” Download direct to your editing platform, or producers can download to a portable thumb drive and provide to editors for import.

Never used ftp deliver for broadcast? Don’t worry. It’s easy. The Wal Mart First Tee Open’s broadcast video delivery system is operated by Video Feed Service (VFS) and powered by MediaSilo.

The VFS Player/Playlists On your VFS player you’ll find playlists of content. Click on the day you’d like to find video from. In some cases, on some browsers and depending on your internet connection this may take a second or two. If content has been uploaded for that lineup, you’ll see content available for preview. Click to get a look at what’s available, making special note of your desired aspect ratio (16:9 or 4:3).

The VFS Player/Download If you’d like to download the piece you’re previewing for use in your broadcast or internet programming, click the “download” button on the lower right of the player. Be sure to disable your pop-up blocker, or choose “allow pop-ups from this site.” Save the file to your desktop or NLE file folder. Many producers find it best to simply download the file direct to a thumb drive and hand off the drive to an editor just as they would a traditional DV or Beta SP tape.

Importing VFS Files In Avid or Final Cut, simply choose “import file” and ingest the H264 file into your system for editing. Other systems operate with a similar workflow and you may want to check your documentation for import settings.
